Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs:

Swapping Tyreek Hill for JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling hasnt slowed down Mahomes at all. Leading the NFL in yards and touchdowns by a wide margin, the All-Pro QBs chances to win MVP are extremely strong. Especially if he can actuallybreak the NFLs single-season yardagemark.

Amazingly, Burrow got to the Super Bowl quicker than any other No. 1 overall pick in NFL history. Theres no telling what he can accomplish next. Burrows back to posting big numbers, withJaMarr Chasereturning, whats stopping the duo from going on a tear? Yet, he likely has too much ground to make up, only because Mahomes is on a different level, as usual.

Becoming one of the best young QBs in football in just three years has catapulted the Firebaugh, CA native near the top of the NFL MVP odds for the 2022-23 season. Allens ability to put up otherworldly numbers through the air while being his teams most explosive rushing option gives the 26-year-old QB a betting chance, as he is the heart and soul of the Bills. But recent losses and turnovers have set him back.

Tagovailoas incredible run is coming to an end with his recent spell of inaccuracy. But we cant discount his growth. Clearly, some well-earned recognition belongs to coach Mike McDaniel, as well asTyreek Hills sensational season, but its Tagovailoa who has brought it all together. Hes no longer a true MVP candidate after not only missing time, but also performing poorly as of late.

While its a bit early to go all in on an MVP candidate with so many possibilities, chances are it will be a quarterback. The last time a non-QB won was back in 2012 when Adrian Peterson took home the trophy. One of the above quarterbacks will likely win the award, but players like Derrick Henry or Christian McCaffrey could emerge later on.
